Cardboard's Story

Meet Cardboard!

Female | 7 months | Spayed | UTD on vaccines including rabies | dewormed | microchipped | FeLV/FIV negative

Cardboard is true foodie through and through and would love an adopter that wants to have long nights on the couch sharing snacks together and watching movies. She does great with other cats and is even socialized with her fosters 140lb mastiff.

Cardi originally had a pretty rough start to her life (see her intake history below) so she can be a bit shy with new meet and greets but once she warms up to you she quickly turns into your shadow. Her foster mom reports she loves to curl up on the bed nightly for snuggles too.

INTAKE HISTORY: Little Cardboard came into our org in December after being brought into a rural spay/neuter clinic. She was fixed that day but quickly they realized both her and her sibling needed further care with a rescue for some post op surgical complications. Her sibling sadly did not make it beyond 24 hours and Cardi B ended up with a substantial amount of air in her stomach with an emergency trocharization procedure being performed. She then developed ileus and her foster mom continued with intensive supportive care measures. In a positive turn of events Cardboard recovered incredibly.

If you'd like to see more content of any of our felines you can check out our founders socials on Instagram @deejandthecats & @floofandtoebeans. Inked Kitten Club's Adoption Policy
Thank you for your interest in adopting an Inked Kitten. Please complete our adoption application in full. We do not evaluate inquiries. As a foster based organization, we require a fully completed application in order to set up kitten meet and greets. We do not adopt on a first-come, first-served basis. Our priority is finding the best match for each cat or kitten. Because kittens tend to adjust better with a buddy, applicants interested in adopting a pair are generally given higher priority to help prevent Single Kitten Syndrome (SKS). What is Single Kitten Syndrome? Single Kitten Syndrome occurs when young kittens are adopted alone. Without a feline playmate, they may develop behavioral issues such as: Aggression or anxiety | Inappropriate chewing or scratching | Litter box avoidance | Difficulty adjusting to new pets or children later in life. While not all single kittens experience these challenges, it’s a common reason cats are rehomed late. The best way to prevent SKS is to adopt kittens in pairs or ensure there’s already a playful, compatible cat in the home.
