She had been feeding “him” for months, but that night was different. She let the kitty in, but with travel plans coming up, she needed help fast.<br/><br/>Luckily, we had a foster ready. But the moment Cara Cara arrived, the surprise was revealed—this wasn’t a chunky boy… this was a very pregnant mama! And just two hours later, she delivered her first kitten. Within no time, our “boy” became a proud mama of five adorable babies.<br/><br/>If you’ve ever had a ginger cat, you know the personality—and Cara Cara has all of it. Funny, sweet, fearless, and just a little bit bossy haha! Everything is on her terms! She’s thriving in a home with other cats and even a dog, acting like she’s always belonged. She is an amazing social girl, who adores humans and loves attention. She is very active and playful. All her kittens have been adopted and now Cara Cara is ready for her own family.

Strays Hope for Life's Adoption Policy
Our adoption process is quick and easy and it includes several steps. 1. Adoption application (you can find on our website www.strayshopeforliferescue.org) 2. Meet and greet with the kittens/cats virtually or in person (arranged as soon as your application is processed) 3. Home check to ensure the kittens/cats are going to a safe environment 4. Adoption fee for the fully vetted kitten under 8 month old is $200 or $350 for a pair. The adoption fee for a cat over 8 months old is $175. The adoption fee for the adults and the seniors varies. 5. Transport is available anywhere in NYC/NJ/LI areas.
