Cali just turned 14 years young! She is a beautiful cat with a calm, fun personality. She quickly acclimated to her foster home and is very much a people lover. We have had several visitors (young and old) and Cali has warmed up to everyone. She likes to be on the couch for tv time and snuggles right up. When she is being held close, she has a delightful purr that sounds like the Tribbles from Star Trek. When she is ready to play, she lays on her toys and waits for someone to walk by and engage her.

Cali is a perfect cat for someone looking for companionship without a lot of drama. She will sleep on the couch or in her bed for hours. She is never underfoot and is very quiet. She needs play time to help her to lose weight and can really bust a move in spite of a lame back leg. Just ask the unfortunate moth who got into the house last week!

If you don’t like cats on the furniture, Cali is your girl. She cannot jump on the bed or couch (we have pet stairs) and is content to sleep in a cat bed on the floor. She is a good litter box user. She does need some brushing due to her longish fur, but is grooming herself on a regular basis. She is okay with other cats, but would do best as an only. She has not been around dogs. Cali is declawed.
