Bug's Story

Meet Bug!

Born around January 2026, Bug's story started out with fear instead of the carefree kittenhood every little one deserves. She was just 16 weeks old when she was caught by animal control, absolutely terrified of the world around her. She spent her entire young life in a cage, too afraid to experience all the fun, love, and adventures that kittens should get to enjoy.

But in September 2026, Bug's story began to change.

Since coming into our care, this once-terrified girl has slowly come out of her shell and blossomed into a playful, curious kitten in her teenage years. She's finally getting to enjoy the kittenhood she missed out on as a baby, and watching her discover her playful side has been such a joy!

One of Bug's favorite places is her cat tree, especially the very top, where she loves to perch like a queen and roll around in pure kitty happiness.

Bug may need a little time to feel safe with new people, but once she decides you're one of her trusted humans, her sweet personality really starts to shine. She'll greet you when you walk into a room, show off her adorable belly, and may even let you scoop her up for some cuddles!

Bug's journey is a reminder that sometimes the shyest hearts just need a little patience, understanding, and time to bloom. She's come so far already, and we'd love to see her continue growing in a home where she can feel safe enough to be her silly, playful, affectionate self.

Are you the special person who will give Bug the forever home she deserves? She's waited long enough to experience the good things in life. Now it's her turn to be loved. As Bug is still learning to trust and is timid around strangers, a calm home without young children would be best for her.

--
Our adoption fee includes spay/neuter and microchipping for all animals. Our adoption fee is $300 per cat.

All have had a vet exam, are up to date on vaccinations, have been given a dewormer and treated for fleas and ear mites if needed. All cats are tested for FeLV/FIV at six months of age. If you are interested in meeting this cat, please fill out an application on our website!

https://www.therescuepack.org/cat-adoption-application

If interested in one of our animals, please fill out an application on our website. The application will then be reviewed by our applications team and passed on to the foster of the animal that was applied for. The foster will then review the application and, if deemed a good fit, will initiate a phone call with the applicant. If, after the phone call, both applicant and foster feel it is a good fit, a meeting with the animal will be scheduled. Once the meeting happens, and the approval from both foster and applicant are given to move forward - our adoptions team will send an electronic payment link to the adopter. Once payment has been received, our adoption contract will be sent along with vet records. The foster and the adopter will agree on an official adoption date - and the animal will now live happily ever after! If an applied for animal is no longer available, our team will assist in trying to find another good fit! If an application is not a good fit, the applicant will also be notified.
