Buffy's Story

BUFFY IS READY TO FIND HER FUREVER HOME!!

It's been quite a journey with this girl, after she's been in rescue for about a year and a half, but we think we have her all fixed up and ready to go!

BUFFY is about 8-9 years old and is a darling buff-colored girl who loves to be a lap cat! Once I sit down to watch TV, she immediately jumps up in my lap and stays there all night! If you'll recall, this is the kitty with the short-bowel syndrome, meaning she is missing the top part of her colon. It really doesn't cause her any trouble now that we have figured out she just needs a little psyllium husk powder sprinkled on her canned food.

The bag of psyllium husk power is about $23 and lasts for well over a year! You just sprinkle a little on her canned food and she has formed stools! She doesn't mind eating it either.

She also just recently had 8 teeth pulled, so you won't need a dental for quite a while!

If you'll note her cute little sashay walk, she is "cow-hocked", which means her ankles point in towards each other and her toes turn outward! At first we thought she had luxating patellas, but she has been checked for that and that is not what she has.

So, other than that she has been checked out every which way and is doing great! She is spayed, UTD on shots, FIV/FELV negative and ready for a new forever lap! She would do best in a home without small children as she is sensitive to reaching under her tummy.

If you are interested in adopting this sweet, calm, loving kitty, please fill out this app:

https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/CCCR/Cat

You'll have a new furever friend!
Kittens under 6 months' adoption fee is $110. Our adoption package on all of our cats includes all of their initial vetting (FVRCP Vaccine(s), Rabies Vaccine(unless deemed too small by vaccinating vet), spay/neuter, FIV/FELV testing (heartworm testing where applicable only available at certain clinics), and microchipping. Also included is age appropriate dewormer and flea/tick preventative. All cats come with a 7-day health guarantee (must be redeemed at Pet Station in Union, MO). We DO NOT allow our cats to be declawed or outside.

Cats over 6 months' adoption fee is $85.
