Meet Buddy

Meet Buddy! Buddy is a handsome, sweet approximately 10-12 month old neutered male looking for a home of his own. Buddy would prefer to be an only cat as he gets very attached to his humans and while he isn’t aggressive with other cats he just seems to prefer more one on one time.
While he is shy at first, as soon as he realizes he is safe his personality flourishes and he becomes a super lovey, interactive and fun guy who just enjoys being around his humans.
Buddy loves attention and is curious and playful without being too much of a handful. He’s the perfect balance of fun and playful mixed with sweet and loving.
Buddy was taken in as a stray as an older kitten and while he was very shy and scared at first he had a “wouldn’t hurt a fly” type temperament even for vetcare, shots and his blood draws.
Buddy is very lucky as on initial intake he tested positive for feline leukemia virus (FeLV). We suspect it was due to contact with another stray in the area. Despite the initial positive test result, when Buddy was retested at 60 days he had fought off the virus and is thankfully negative. This was confirmed twice so he is totally in the clear!
Unfortunately we don’t see this super often so we’re thrilled when Buddy went from having an unknown future to a bright and hopeful one.
Buddy is neutered, up to date on shots, dewormed, on flea preventatives and confirmed negative for FIV/FeLV. He is in excellent health and couldn’t be more robust and healthy.
If interested in Buddy please go to the official cnycc website (cnycatcoalition.org) and fill out the full adoption application.
