Brie's Story

Meet Brie—a beautiful orange-and-white tuxedo kitten whose search for a forever home began in the most heartbreaking way.

At just a few months old, Brie was found digging through trash in a Harlem courtyard, surrounded by a large colony of cats struggling to survive on the streets. Instead of enjoying the carefree days of kittenhood, she was searching for scraps of food, never knowing where her next meal would come from or what dangers the next day might bring. Brie was clearly an indoor cat who had been abandoned outside, left to fend for herself in a world she was never meant to navigate alone.

Thankfully, her days of searching through garbage are behind her. Brie was rescued and brought somewhere she could finally feel safe, have a full belly, and experience the kindness every kitten deserves. Now, this sweet girl is ready to leave her difficult beginning behind and find a family who will never let her down.

Brie is an affectionate, friendly five-month-old kitten with a wonderful personality. She loves to play, run around, and enjoy all the silly adventures of kittenhood. But she also knows how to slow down, curl up on the sofa for a nap, and soak up all the pets and affection she can get. She loves following her foster around the apartment, always hoping to be part of whatever is happening. She's a little companion who simply wants to be near her people and feel loved.

Brie would do best in a home with another friendly cat to play with, snuggle up beside, and grow alongside.

After starting life outdoors, Brie deserves a future filled with warm beds, full food bowls, gentle cuddles, and a family who will cherish her forever. She's waited long enough for someone to choose her. Could you be the person who gives this adorable little girl the happy ending she deserves?

Brie is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, rabies-vaccinated, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, and treated for fleas and worms.

Lucky Cat Rescue NYC's Adoption Policy
Our goal is to place every cat in a safe, loving, and permanent home. Prospective adopters complete an adoption application, participate in an interview, provide two to three references, and complete a virtual home visit. We review each application to ensure the cat is a good match for the adopter’s home, lifestyle, and experience. Cats are required to be kept indoors and receive appropriate veterinary care. We have a strict two-cat policy for kittens under six months of age: they must either be adopted with another kitten or be placed in a home that already has a compatible cat. This policy helps ensure young kittens have appropriate socialization, companionship, and play. Kittens who are not yet large enough to be spayed or neutered are adopted under an agreement requiring the procedure to be completed when they reach the appropriate age and weight, with proof provided if the adopter uses their own veterinarian. Our process is designed to ensure safe, responsible, and lasting adopter
