Hi, I'm Briar! I'm a sweet, shy young girl with a heart full of love just waiting to bloom. My favorite thing in the world is being petted - I could happily soak up attention all day long! I do take a little time to warm up, though, and I appreciate reassurance that you really do like me. I'm still learning that people can be kind and safe, and every day I'm becoming a little braver.<br/><br/>Since coming into foster care, I've made so much progress! I've started leaving my cozy hidey spots to enjoy tall cat towers, watch the world through the window, and feel the breeze on my fur. I've become comfortable exploring the house and have even started sleeping at the foot of my foster mom's bed because I'd rather be close to her than tucked away in my own room. The more I learn to trust, the more my sweet and loving personality shines through.<br/><br/>I'm also unbelievably soft (seriously, you'll want to pet me forever!), and I keep myself looking beautiful with my excellent grooming skills. I have perfect litter box manners, too.<br/><br/>I'm still nervous around strangers and other animals, so I'd do best as the only pet in a quieter adult home where I can continue building my confidence at my own pace. With patience, understanding, and love, I think I'll grow into an amazing companion and show you just how special I really am.
