MEET CHARLIE and BOOTZ!

Charlie, Bootz, and their two siblings - Jannie and Ace - were an unexpected surprise. Rosy, their mother, patiently awaited rescue or adoption at Devore Animal Shelter in late July 2023. After being passed over time and again, by early August, her time was running out. The Kitty Devore Rescue team knew we couldn't let anything bad happen to her, so we swooped in just in the nick of time and rescued her to safety. Understandably, her time in the shelter left her terrified, and even though she was safe in a wonderful foster home, she needed time to settle in and gain a sense of trust in her doting guardians. On her first visit to the vet for a routine exam, we learned we didn't just save one beautiful kitty. Rosy had little Rosebuds on the way!

Rosy's Rosebuds were born in their warm, loving foster home on September 6, 2023. Much like his namesake, Charles "Charlie" Dickens grew into a very creative little guy. Whether a piece of string or a sock, Charlie will fashion a toy from anything on which he can lay his clever little paws. Once he gets the pep in his step, there's no stopping him, although he'll stop in his tracks for an absorbing, captivating episode of Cat TV. His best buddy, Bootz, boasts an enormous personality and enthusiastically embraces life with his whole self. He's courageous, fearless, and gregarious. He's a kitty who knows what he wants and will do what it takes to get it. Bootz speaks up and demands to be heard, especially regarding things that displease him, like car rides to the vet for check-ups. He's a bouncing ball of energy, eager to display his running and wrestling skills. We suspect that, if there are past lives, Bootz lived the celebrity life of a WWE wrestler. 

Charlie and Bootz are inseparable bonded brothers who would thrive best if adopted into the same home.
