Meet Boots/Tux

Meet Tux, a goofy 6 month old boy. Tux is of the opinion that life is one grand adventure, with toys to chase, stairs to run up and down, hallways to race through and don’t forget his most favorite, the cat tunnel. His adventures can last for hours at a time. His foster family have jokingly said they watch less TV than they used to because they have his antics to watch. When he finally wears out he likes to climb up to the highest perch in his tower and settle in for a nap.

This little Mr. Independent hates to be held and isn’t all that fond of pets either. When he’s really worn out he will let you pet him, but he wants his favorite blankie with him so he can suckle while he is getting loves. But he only wants loves for a short time before he decides it’s too much love. His favorite way to show love is by rubbing on his foster family’s legs. He rubs against them and then weaves in and out. He shouldn’t live in a home with someone who has balance issues because he doesn’t think twice about giving loves while you are trying to walk down the hallway.

Tux’s perfect human would be someone who wants an independent, fun kitty. His antics have been reserved for toys, the cat tunnel and racing around, so getting into things hasn’t been an issue for him. He would also like someone who will get him a cat fountain or be willing to run the sink for him occasionally. He prefers to drink that way and will be sure to let you know when he is thirsty. Tux does well with his foster family’s teenaged children but wouldn’t be a fit for little children because that sweet face just begs to be held and cuddled but he wants no part of it and little kids don’t always like to do what makes him happy and feeling safe. He likes other cats, but never learned how to play with proper kitten manners, so his friend would need to be high energy and not a bully or willing to be bullied. His litterbox manners are perfect and as long as he has a tall scratching post to stretch those long legs of his, he is very good about not scratching furniture.

He is neutered and up to date on all of his shots.

Adoption Fee is $180 (no checks)
