**Meet Blitzen**<br/><br/><br/><br/>Blitzen is a spayed, approximately 10-year-old lady who has already come such a long way.<br/><br/><br/><br/>When Blitzen arrived at UPAWS, she was terrified and in tremendous pain from a severe bladder infection. She didn’t understand that people were trying to help her—she only knew that she hurt. It took weeks of patience, care, and gentle persistence, but Blitzen is finally feeling better and beginning to show us the cat who was hidden beneath all that fear.<br/><br/><br/><br/>Blitzen still takes time to trust, but once you break through her shell, you’ll discover a wonderfully entertaining little character. She may not be the type of cat who wants to cuddle all day, but she’ll rub and bump against you, chat away, and let you know that you have officially become one of her people.<br/><br/><br/><br/>She loves her toys, her scratching posts, and breathing in the fresh air from the safety of her enclosed patio. What Blitzen needs now is a quiet, understanding home where she can fully relax, settle into a comfortable routine, and build a relationship with someone at her own pace.<br/><br/><br/><br/>Blitzen eats Hill’s Prescription Diet c/d food and will need to remain on this diet to support her urinary health.
