Hi there,
Big B here.... I was adopted from another group a couple years ago and my family let me go outside. I am not real street-savy and I was hit by a car. Wow, that really hurt! My former family did not provide medical care so I healed all on my own. I now limp and I drag my back foot due to nerve damage. My former family took me to a high volume shelter recently because they could no longer care for me. A volunteer with SCP was walking by my cage and I reached out to get her attention. I really wanted out of that cage! She took me home with her! Wow, what a lucky day! She took me to a very good vet to see if they could do anything to help my leg. The doctor said that my skeletal frame was completely shifted due to the trauma but I have no fractures and no special needs in the future. My injury doesn't stop me from enjoying life and jumping up onto my favorite chair and cat tower! I LOVE ALL people and I purr constantly. I really like other kitties and even nice, calm dogs! I am super playful, happy, and grateful to be alive, I even play at adoption events on Saturdays! I love to be held, kissed, and love pets on the head, tummy, or whatever you will touch:)
Can you see past my altered gait and love me forever?

Second Chance Pets is a foster-based organization so all animals live in foster homes throughout the area. Adoptions are held on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Petco Clear Lake store located at 2410 Bay Area Boulevard (at Space Center.) The adoption fee starts at $95. All cats are tested for FIV and Leukemia, fully vaccinated, fixed, dewormed, defleaed, and microchipped.
