Beto's Story

Professional snuggler, all love.

Meet Beto: an adorable medium-haired tabby boy with a fluffy face, soulful eyes, and one of the sweetest personalities you'll ever meet. At just over a month old, Beto has already figured out what matters most in life: good food, warm naps, and being as close to his favorite people as possible.

Beto is the definition of a velcro kitten. If there's a lap available, he wants to be in it. If there's a bed nearby, he wants to share it. If you're sitting down, chances are Beto is already making his way over to request cuddles. He absolutely adores affection and never misses an opportunity to snuggle with his humans, siblings, or canine family members.

Personality: Affectionate, gentle, confident, and incredibly loving. Beto has a surprisingly big personality packed into a tiny body. While he enjoys playtime and spending time with his kitten friends, his true passion is being loved. He happily asks to be picked up, enjoys being cradled like a baby, and melts into your arms the moment he feels safe and comfortable.

Favorites: Snuggling under blankets, sleeping in bed with his humans, making biscuits beside his beloved pittie foster mom, receiving pets, being carried around, snack time, and curling up with his siblings for cozy naps. Beto is also known for looking for milk on human faces and necks, a habit that never fails to make everyone laugh.

Home vibe: Indoor-only; would thrive in a home where affection is plentiful and cuddles are always available. Beto loves being part of the family and enjoys being included in everyday life. He's the type of kitten who wants to be wherever his people are.

Other pets: Wonderful with other kittens and cats. Excellent with dogs, both large and small, and especially comfortable around gentle canine companions. Beto has been raised in a social environment and loves having animal friends nearby.

Litter habits: Excellent for his age.

Health: Up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, and will be neutered prior to adoption.

Special note: Like all young kittens, Beto would benefit from having a feline companion in his home. We always encourage adopters to consider adopting two kittens together whenever possible. Beto especially enjoys companionship and thrives when he has friends to play, cuddle, and grow up alongside.

If you're looking for a kitten who believes there is no such thing as too much affection, Beto may be your perfect match. Sweet, fluffy, and endlessly devoted, he's ready to spend a lifetime filling your home with purrs, cuddles, and unconditional love

Florida Cat and Dog Project, Inc.'s Adoption Policy
1. Apply (5-10 minutes). Submit the online application with basic household info, pet history, and your vet/landlord contacts. 2. Conversation & Matchmaking (24-72 hrs). An adoption counselor reviews your application and schedules a quick call. We discuss lifestyle, routines, and what you’re hoping for so we can recommend the best fit (energy, training needs, medical considerations). 3. erification. 4. Vet check: current pets are up to date on vaccines/preventives and spayed/neutered (case-by-case medical exceptions). 5. Housing check: confirmation of pet/breed/weight policies and deposits if renting or HOA-regulated. 6. Meet & Greet. 7. Dogs: neutral-site or foster-home intro; bring resident dogs if applicable. 8. Cats: meet in the foster room; we’ll talk through multi-cat introductions and decompression. If everyone’s comfortable, we can move to a same-day or scheduled placement. 9. Home Review (virtual or in-person). A quick walkthrough (video is fine) to confirm basics: safe exits, litter/feeding areas, yard or leash plan, and where the pet will sleep/decompress. 10. Foster-to-Adopt (optional for puppies/kittens/medical). Short trial (typically 3–7 days; longer for medical cases) so the pet and household can settle. We provide supplies/meds as needed; your counselor stays in touch. 11. Finalize. Adoption contract, medical disclosure (all known history, vaccines/tests, meds, behavior notes), and the adoption fee (helps cover vetting). We register the microchip to you and email the full medical record and next-due dates. 12. Aftercare. We check in at 48 hours, 2 weeks, and 30 days. Behavior and medical support are available; if a mismatch occurs, we honor a return-to-rescue policy, no judgment, we’ll regroup and rematch. What we look for: safe, stable housing; a realistic plan for time, training, and vet care; and a good fit between the pet’s needs and your lifestyle. There’s no “perfect home”, just a committed one with the right support. Out of area? Case-by-case if we can complete counseling, a reliable home check, and arrange safe transport.
