Meet Benny
Hi there! My name is Benny and I am 5 years old. It's story time and boy, do I have a story.
You might notice my picture and think "he is winking at me?" I wish that was it but I lost my eye. I know where it went - it got injured. I was living in a home and sometimes I spent time inside but they let me go outside. Handsome kitties like me shouldn't go outside because there is so many things that can hurt cats and for me, it was chickens. The family had chickens in their backyard and they didn't like me checking out their hen house. One of those fowl furries pecked at my eye and my Owners didn't get me to the vet in time.
They eventually took me to the vet and the cost of fixing me was too much so they left me there. The nice vet took really good care of me. When I was ready to be released they reached out to an animal rescue and guess what? They said "oh we want Benny!" Isn't that nice? Yes, it was super sad I lost my eye but I have so many Angels rooting for me!
I'm in a foster home right now and boy do I like it there. I like to cuddle with my foster Mom and I head butt her when she pauses in between my scratches. I like to have my head, chin and ears rubbed. You might hear me give a little rumble of a purr.
My foster home has other cats and a dog that live here. I don't mind the dog but I have to stay by myself away from the cats. See, when the vet took really good care of me they did a test. I didn't pass that test. They say I have FIV. Just as a precaution I need to be away from the other cats because they are in foster care too - waiting for their forever family. Vet said I can live a normal life just like any other kitty just need to be extra careful.
So, that's my story. Story time is over but my foster Mom says my story just begins and guess what? That beginning is with you! I have so much to offer and I know when my family comes to meet me they will fall in love with me. They will feel my soft fur and they'll say the same thing my TAR Angels said "we want him!"
