Bear's Story

Hi! I'm Bear!

My foster parents first saw me hanging around their house sitting outside the window where their other foster kitties lived. I was hoping they would let me in. I was hungry and it was really cold outside. When they set the trap out for me, I walked right in!

My foster parents noticed right away that I had deep scratch wounds on my face and took me to the vet to have them cleaned. I feel so much better now that I'm all healed up! It was hard fending for myself outside alone. The vet tells me that I'm a healthy, sleek, black panther now--I think that means I'm ready to find my forever home!

I love the indoor life! My foster mommy tells me that I am the most affectionate foster kitty they've ever had. It must be because I'm so good at curling up in any lap that I can find! I really like when my foster parents scratch my cheeks, and I'm starting to appreciate belly rubs also! My foster parents pick me up a lot and I am okay with that, too. I even let them trim my nails, no problem!

I love my wet food! I eat twice a day and eat my full meal right away each time. The faster I eat, the faster I get to play time and snuggle time! I really love kicking and chasing ball toys around, especially if they have a little bell or rattle on the inside, that's super fun! I also love my catnip banana and my little mouse toy! I'm really good at playing independently when my foster parents are busy.

My foster parents tell me that I have perfect litterbox and scratching post manners! I am also very good at taking medications--my foster parents put meds in a pill pocket and I eat it like a treat! I don't mind being brushed either, it keeps my thick fur clean and soft!

I am still young, just over one year old, so I have a whole lifetime of cuddles to give! I am playful and affectionate and will be the most loyal companion in my forever family. If that all sounds great, ask for Bear! I would love to meet you!

If you're interested in adopting Bear, please fill out our pre-adoption application here: https://www.pause4pawsmn.org/adopt-a-pet
