basil's Story

Basil came to us as a stray and is clearly not used to all the new sights and smells around her. She is not aggressive in any way, but when you go to touch her she politely says, "No, thank you!". We certainly don't hold that against her, though! She would be great as a barn cat or a mouser for a local business.You'll be able to see this animal - and more - at the shelter! Culpeper County Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy
An adoption application must be completed and approved prior to adopting. If renting or living with family, we do have to confirm you are allowed to bring home a pet. We also do a vet reference to ensure our pets will be well cared for. If you are adopting a dog and another dog lives in the home, we will set up a time to do a meet once your application has been approved. Adoption fees are to be paid at the time of pick up.
