She has a BIG personality to go with her compact little body. ❤ï ̧<br/><br/>She is:<br/>✠̈ A talker — she loves to have conversations with you!<br/>✠̈ Very affectionate and loves to be petted<br/>✠̈ Happy to be near you<br/>✠̈ Loves to lie on the bed with you<br/>✠̈ Loves to run and PLAY<br/>✠̈ Not demanding or overly needy<br/>✠̈ A great working cat<br/><br/>Barnie even enjoys being picked up and held. She truly has come a long way!<br/><br/>BARNIE'S STORY<br/><br/>Barnie’s journey began when she was a community (feral) cat who became pregnant while still just a big kitten herself. She was trapped with her kittens with the intention of being spayed and released.<br/><br/>Her kittens quickly found homes, but we soon discovered something very important about Barnie:<br/><br/>She wasn't truly feral. She WANTED to trust people. ❤ï ̧<br/><br/>While recovering from her spay, Barnie discovered that she loved gentle pets, kind voices, and human attention. Since then, she has made incredible progress toward becoming a wonderful house cat.<br/><br/>Today, Barnie is a beautiful, affectionate girl who enjoys being with people, being petted, and even being picked up and held.<br/><br/>WHAT BARNIE NEEDS<br/><br/>All shelters and rescues are currently over capacity, and we are a small rescue trying to make the best possible situation for ALL of the cats in our care.<br/><br/>Barnie would do best in a home with no other cats, as she can be selective about her feline companions. Could she eventually accept another cat? Possibly — but we simply cannot predict that.<br/><br/>We do not normally pay for fosters, but we provide the food and other supplies Barnie needs.<br/><br/>❤ï ̧ FIV POSITIVE — BUT STILL A WONDERFUL CAT!<br/><br/>Barnie has tested positive for FIV, but she is young and may even clear the virus over time. We have seen this happen before.<br/><br/>And even if Barnie remains FIV-positive, our veterinarian has confirmed that she can live a long, normal, healthy life just like any other cat.
