At just around 3 pounds, Bancroft may be the smaller of the two, but do not let his size fool you — he is very clearly the one in charge.<br/><br/>This little guy is full of life, confidence, and opinions. While he and Braddock are almost always together when they are awake — wrestling, playing, pouncing, and roughhousing like tiny maniacs — Bancroft has made it very clear that he sees himself as the boss of the operation. He is bold, playful, and endlessly entertaining, especially when food is involved.<br/><br/>And speaking of food... Bancroft has a LOT to say at mealtimes.<br/><br/>He is a very vocal little man who believes dinner should be served promptly and with proper respect. If you are a fan of classic Siamese personality, Bancroft is already showing signs that he may grow into exactly that kind of cat. He is expressive, interactive, and not at all shy about sharing his thoughts. He is also likely to become even toastier in color as he gets older, which will only add to his already irresistible charm.<br/><br/>Bancroft’s story is especially remarkable because he was born with swimmer’s legs and had some difficulty getting around when he was younger. But as he has grown and developed, he has done beautifully. In fact, you would hardly know it now except for the tiniest bit of out-turned feet. It certainly does not slow him down. He keeps up just fine with kitten antics, wrestling matches, zoomies, and all the general nonsense he and Braddock get into together.<br/><br/>Like his brother, Bancroft is a dedicated wet food connoisseur and would prefer if everyone simply accepted that dry food is beneath him.<br/><br/>Bancroft is a fun, social, spirited kitten who would thrive in a home that appreciates kitten energy, Siamese sass, and a little bit of mealtime commentary. He has overcome so much already, and now he is ready for the next chapter — one filled with love, comfort, and plenty of wet food.<br/><br/>If You’re Thinking About Adopting Me, I Think You Should Know<br/><br/>I may be the smaller brother, but I am definitely in charge. I love to play hard, wrestle with my brother, and make sure everyone knows when it is time for dinner. I have a lot to say, especially at mealtimes, and I’m already showing signs that I might grow into a very classic Siamese personality. I was born with swimmer’s legs, but I’ve come so far that you would barely notice now except for my adorable little feet. It doesn’t slow me down one bit. I’m playful, resilient, and full of personality — and I’m looking for a home that will love me exactly as I am.<br/><br/>Important Adoption Information and Next Steps:<br/><br/>All animals adopted through the Oswego County SPCA (OCAWL) are:<br/><br/>Spayed or neutered<br/><br/>Up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations<br/><br/>Microchipped prior to adoption<br/><br/>Cats are FeLV/FIV tested, and dogs are heartworm tested (if age-appropriate).<br/><br/>Our animals are cared for in loving foster homes — they are not housed in a shelter environment.<br/><br/>We review all applications thoroughly to ensure the best match for both animal and adopter.<br/><br/>Our adoption fees help cover the cost of veterinary care, food, and rescue operations so we can continue saving animals throughout Oswego County.<br/><br/>To apply to adopt, please visit www.oswegocountyspca.org<br/> and complete our adoption application.<br/><br/>After Submitting Your Application:<br/>Please make sure you have notified your veterinarian that we will be calling and that it is okay to speak with us. If you do not currently have a vet, please determine which one you will be using and set up care in advance so we can confirm your new pet will receive medical attention when needed.<br/><br/>For Pets Already in the Home:<br/>Because the number of homeless animals in our area is so large, we adopt only to homes where current pets are spayed or neutered, with documented medical exceptions. We also require that all resident pets be up to date on their vaccinations to help ensure that everyone — both new and existing family members — stays healthy and safe.<br/><br/>Keep in Mind:<br/>We are 100 percent foster-based and 100 percent volunteer-operated, from the top down. Our team works hard to get animals into their forever homes as quickly as possible.
