Bader's Story
Bader and her siblings came to CDC a little over 3 years ago. She was very shy at first and slowly became a "normal" care. She lets us pet her, hold her, etc. She is very quiet.

In Jan 2022 she became quite ill and after multiple test and treatments, the vet was not optimistic about her future thinking that she would be around for only a few more months. At that time, the decision was made to remove her from our list of adoptable cats, and provide supportive care as needed. She seemed to heal and was not behaving ill at all. She continued to be a great cat and in July we repeated lab work and her results and prognosis per the veterinarian are as follows:

"Her bloodwork overall looks great. She has a mild (but improved) no -
regenerative anemia. We don't have an answer why, but it is abnormal.
But still so much improved! I would just recommend that adopters
have annual bloodwork performed to monitor her RBC and kidney
values. Non- regenerative means the cat has a persistent mild anemia
and we dont have a reason/diagnosis. Its improved and shes doing very well"

Bader is a sweet girl still waiting for someone to take a chance on her. She can be shy if someone approaches her too fast, but if you offer her a hand to sniff and some treats, you can quickly gain her trust and she becomes the most loving and affectionate cat - she will practically throw herself at you to get you to pet her.
Bader is a perfect mix of playful and calm. She gets the zoomies and runs around batting toys, and then will settle down for hours. She adores watching birds outside and has the cutest chatter. She also is an excellent hunter if you've got a bug problem!

She is about 6 years old and a petite little girl.

If interested, please email Mirna at Mirnabowman.cdc@gmail.com
614-471-9000
Must be 24 or older.
Adoptions to Central Ohio homes only.
All dogs and cats in the home must be spayed/neutered.
Adoption Fee $100.00
