Aurora - Goddess of the Sunrise - with her big gorgeous green eyes is truly a magical cat. She and her brother, Northstar, were abandoned by their family. We believe that they were born late in 2022. Aurora is brave and adventurous, she will come and find you for affection and attention. She is a peaceful content girl and is happy just to be. She would like a family that is also more quiet and content and she would love it if you would also bring her brother home too, because he would miss her terribly if she went without him.

All pets adopted from the Humane Society of Freeborn County will be spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, testing and will be microchipped. All of this is included in their adoption fee. Fill out an application to adopt at freeborncountyhs.org

When transitioning your new pet home please allow for at least 4-6 weeks for your pet to adjust to their new home. They will need this time to decompress, and adjust to a new routine and environment. During that time we will provide check ins and counseling to ensure a successful transition.

Please review all basic adoption requirements listed on our website before applying. We take finding the right homes for the animals in our care very seriously. They deserve nothing but the best! Please allow 2-7 days for applications to be processed.

If an animal is listed in foster care, these pets are not at our facility, but are in foster care homes. They are still available for adoption, and meet and greets are done with pre-approved applicants only.
