Aunt Edith's Story

Aunt Edith is a VERY large, senior lady looking for a soft place to land. An abandoned stray, she was lucky enough to find a loving home with a kind local man several years ago. Unfortunately, he was unable to take Edith with him when he had to find new accomodation recently. He made the difficult decision to surrender her to MEOW.

At 14 pounds, strong and big boned, Edith is simply the largest female cat we have ever met. Edith is full of your favourite Aunty personality. She loves people, enjoys laps, and is always happy to join in a chat.

Edith can be mildly territorial with other cats and would likely do best as the only cat in the home. Dogs may be fine with a proper introduction. As a senior lady, she would probably prefer a calm household without young children.

Aunt Edith is spayed, healthy, and ready for her next chapter. We would love nothing more than to tell her former owner that she has been adopted. Give Aunt Edith the comfortable, cushy retirement she deserves.

Meow Refuge's Adoption Policy
We aim to place cats in safe, stable indoor homes and take time to make sure each adoption is a good fit. Adopters complete a brief application and have a conversation with us so we can match cats to appropriate homes. Adoption fees help cover basic medical care, and we remain available for support after adoption. Kittens are not adopted out before 12 weeks of age, and we strongly encourage kittens to be adopted in pairs to prevent single kitten syndrome and support healthy social development. Because adoption opportunities in Roswell are limited, we also partner with better-resourced rescue organizations in larger cities to place adoptable cats when that offers the best chance of a successful adoption. If an adoption doesn’t work out, cats are always welcome back at MEOW.
