Asher's Story
Meet Asher, a handsome 7-year-old gray and white short-haired kitty weighing about 15 pounds. Sadly, Asher is looking for a new home through no fault of his own. A new member of his family is extremely allergic to cats, and having a kitty in the home has also become a trigger for their chronic migraines so he found his way to us.

This sweet boy may be a little shy when meeting new people, but give him some time to get comfortable and you'll quickly see his friendly, loving personality shine through! Asher is an independent guy who enjoys affection on his own terms. He's happy to be pet and loved on, but he isn't the type of cat who wants to be held or fussed over for long periods of time. He likes having the freedom to explore, run around, and do his own thing. When he's ready for attention, though, he'll happily seek out his people!

Playtime is definitely the way to Asher's heart. He loves catnip, treats, and active toys—especially anything that moves fast and gives him something to chase. He's also quite talented when treats are involved and can actually catch them with his paws! He knows his name and even understands "no"...at least sometimes.

Asher has spent most of his life around other animals and children. Before being adopted, he lived with his brother from the same litter, and he then spent more than six years living with a female cat, so he is comfortable with both male and female feline friends.

He has also grown up in a family with three children ranging in age from 6 to 21 and loves anyone willing to play with him or hand over a treat! He has only had brief interactions with dogs and can be scared initially, but has done well once given some time to warm up.

Asher has excellent litter box habits and was front declawed by his previous family. He is a very good boy and will be a purrfect addition to any home. He cannot wait to meet you!

His adoption fee is $225 and Asher is vaccinated, FIV/FELV negative, microchipped, and neutered.
