Meet Artemis
Artemis is a female domestic shorthair black kitten. She was rescued in January 2024 in East Charlotte alongside some of her colony. We estimate her birth month to be May 2023. Artemis has received initial vet care from our rescue, and is spayed, microchipped and vaccinated.
While Artemis’s full family history is unknown as a community cat, she was a beloved member of her community and cared for greatly by a local homeowner. The homeowner even went so far to allow her in her home, so Artemis was well on her way with socialization as we brought her into our program.
Artemis is still a bit shy, so her ideal home will be full of love, patience and lots of TLC. We anticipate her to be a great house cat (especially as she was already exposed to the indoors prior to coming into our program), she just needs some time to acclimate to her changing surroundings.
Artemis is in foster care with exposure to other cats, and two of her colony mates and Greek Goddesses: Athena and Aphrodite. We believe Artemis would do just fine as a solo pet, but will also acclimate to other cats/dogs in the house with time to adjust.
