Meet Annalee (bonded with Jerry)

Annalee is a beautiful girl who is deserving of a home of her own. **She is bonded with Jerry**, whose happy-go-lucky demeanor seems to help her understand that humans aren't so scary. We hope to have them adopted as a pair!

Annalee likes scratching posts and track toys, and she will seek out human attention, but you have to learn what is acceptable to her. She seems to enjoy rubs but may decide she's had enough fairly quickly, and sometimes she will bat you with her paws or gently nibble if she's been overstimulated.

Annalee has come a long way since entering FAN's care. She was mislabeled as feral in a local shelter, and FAN realized she was definitely not feral - only nervous and scared. She sometimes can have runny eyes and a runny nose, most likely owing to a lack of vaccines as a kitten. It generally lasts just a few days before clearing up.

CHARACTERISTICS: Part of Bonded Pair?, Calm / Chill / Mellow, Happy, Frisky, Confident, Easy-going, Sweet / Personable, Loving but independent (on their own terms), Sensitive on Touching (Physically), Bashful / Shy, Timid, Temperamental

If I was on a dating app, my pickup line would be: Patience is the key to my heart.

In a human companion, I’m looking for: Someone patient.

In an animal companion (house-mate), I'm looking for: Someone to canoodle with.

Lots of people say I love to: Eat and sleep.

Despite my less-than-ideal start in life, I have flourished in FAN's care and am now: Feeling ready to start a new chapter in my life.

It’s important to set reasonable expectations when bringing any new cat home. We offer the Rule of Threes.
3 DAYS: To decompress
3 WEEKS: To get familiar with your house and its routines
3 MONTHS: To settle in and feel like they’re home

Adding a new animal to your household can be a whirlwind of an experience for many owners. There is a lot of change happening for your new cat, so it’s not uncommon for the cat’s behavior to change accordingly. They may be acting in ways you’ve never seen before, and this can be discouraging.

These “rules” are estimated marker points where you may see behavioral changes from your new cat.
SEE https://www.feralaffairs.org/faq/ to learn how long it may take to acclimate your cat to their new home.

All our adoptable cats and kittens are:
— spayed / neutered

— parasite-free (dewormer & flea prevention)
— provided additional veterinarian visits, if needed for any health issues
— conveyed to you with all medical records at time of adoption
