AMSTERDAM Domestic Long Hair Muskegon, MI

AMSTERDAM is a gorgeous 14 pound, black and white long-haired cat who originally came to us in March of 2022 when, unfortunately, his guardian went into a nursing home. He was adopted for about 5 months, then returned because his new home had a dog that terrorized him. Poor guy, imagine losing a home twice, through no fault of your own.
AMSTERDAM enjoys being pet and held. He will snuggle up in your arms and nuzzle his face under your chin. Obviously, he is very food motivated! AMSTERDAM also loves to roll around playing with his toys. He does not suffer fools, so is known to swat a roommate or two if they get out of hand. Often, he likes to sit on a high shelf to survey the room, before he comes down to mingle. He is quite majestic gazing down on those below.
AMSTERDAM has had so many tough breaks! He deserves all the love in the world. Because of his long hair, he is prone to getting tangles, so it is also important that his adopter is willing to take the time to properly care for his grooming needs. That being said, he LOVES to be brushed!
Given his experience with dogs, and the fact that he can, occasionally be a little bit of a bully, AMSTERDAM would probably do best in a quiet home as the only pet. But just image curling up with this big, fluffy, ball of purring fur! Sounds like heaven for you both!!!
