Acorn and Butternut American Shorthair Oakland, CA

Butternut is a friendly, super affectionate orange tabby cat who loves to spend time snuggling with his humans! This boy loves all the attention, and will resort to climbing on your lap and staring directly into your eyes if he think you aren’t appreciating him enough. He has an amazing rumbly purr and will often start purring as soon as he hears you coming. Butternut can be nervous about new situations, but once he gets comfortable he’s an outgoing, happy cat who wants to be everyone’s friend.

Acorn is a cute brown tabby and he thinks humans are all right, but the real love of his life is Butternut! He absolutely adores his best friend and prefers to spend most of his day snuggling and grooming him. He can be a bit skittish about loud noises or people approaching him too suddenly, but he really enjoys sitting on the couch with Butternut and getting gentle pets and snuggles from his human friends. He’s usually pretty quiet, but he’ll treat you to an adorable creaky meow when he thinks it’s time to eat.

Both kitties love to relax and prefer napping to zooming around, but they sometimes like to explore and are learning to enjoy playing with toys in short bursts. These cute boys are 7 and 8 years old and are young seniors, they are very bonded and would love to find a home together.
