FOSTER UPDATE! "

Roxy has been very calm in the house. In fact, we haven't seen her have the zoomies at all! She checked everything out and did spend some time exploring closets and other hidden spaces. It takes her a bit to trust, but after a day and a half, she allowed us to pet her. She isn't the kind of cat to ask for affection, but if you are in her trust circle, she will lean into it and sometimes even purr! So far, she isn't a lap cat though and definitely does not want to be picked up. If you are trying to do something she doesn't want you to do, she is very clear in telling you "no" with walking away, hisses, or if you persist, a swat with her paw. She does forgive you after a bit of time. She has been quite good at using the litter box. She prefers the dry food and seems to be a bit pickier about wet food, though she likes some of it. Treats are accepted by her and her favorite thing so far is chasing a laser. The laser has been entertaining for all of us and is also a great way to move her from point A to point B."

Roxy. This girl is looking for somebody special. She lived with an elderly owner, who sadly went into care and was not able to bring her with. Roxy tends to be pretty independent and loves space of her own. She loves food, and often shows her best self when she's ready to eat, and will allow some pets. She loves to chirp at you but can be pretty sassy as well. She's not the Lovin snuggle kind of girl, at least not right now. She has a tumor on her ear that we will address if we find her that special person that is willing to have a roommate cat.
