Meet Ricki
Ricki is a handsome 20-something cockatoo looking for his forever home. He is missing some toes on his left foot, but he loves to climb and gets around well with some accommodations like flat and rope perches. He would also appreciate an arm to step onto, instead of a hand, for more stability. Ricki can be slow to warm up to new people and would prefer to set the pace of most interactions. He will let you know with his sharp beak if you're moving too fast! An ideal caregiver for Ricki will be familiar with large-bird body language and will offer positive reinforcement when he's a good boy. Some of his favorite phrases are "Ricki needs a cracky!" (and who could argue that he deserves a cracker?) and "Hi Ricki boo-boo!" Also, he is offended and will protest noisily if his preferred person leaves the room. Because of his impressive noise level, he will need to be adopted into a home without shared walls. Ricki's new family will need to have experience with large birds, preferably cockatoos. Adoptable by Missouri residents only. Adoption Fee: $600
