Meet Pippin
Pippin is an 18 year old Bare Eyed Cockatoo. Pippin is independent-minded and plays well by himself - a great quality in a Cockatoo! He likes socializing with other Cockatoos and would enjoy having a cockatoo friend in his adoptive home. Pippin is not a hands-on bird, however, he loves to interact within his comfort level - he is super smart and very food-motivated, so he adores training to learn tricks and behaviors! Recently, Pippin started to learn letters and reading. (Yes, you read that right!) We have Jen Cunha of My Reading Pets to thank for his reading lessons. He would be a fabulous match with a person who'd enjoy the mental challenge and relationship-building experience of positive reinforcement training.
