Meet Kermit

Kermit is a DNA-sexed female Military Macaw. She started life in Alaska; her known hatch date is May 6, 2001. When her human family added children, the family dynamics changed.
So she joined her second home in 2008 and came to PEAC in 2021.
Kermit loves her outdoor time. She plays well on her own and enjoys the company of foster mom’s own flock of 5 parrots.
But most days of winter can be too cold, so Kermit spends those indoor days on a huge playstand full of enrichment.
She is looking for her special people. She is a cuddle bug and is a joy to hang out with. And just like any parrot, she likes to be a part of your phone conversations! Some of her favorite words are, “Hello, Kermit, and come here.” Being a silly girl, she also mixes up the words “cracker” and “Aflack” to “Aflaker!” Once Kermit gets to know you, she is a big lover and loves to just sit on your arm. Kermit is known to do well with children and other animals. Her foster mom says that she also enjoys being around other parrots, even if they do not directly socialize. Do you have room in your heart and home for this precious little girl?!
