Meet Harlee
Harlee, or "Bear," as he also likes to be called, is a happy, talkative greenwing macaw who loves to dance. He has an impressive verbal repertoire that includes "Come here," "Peekaboo," "Treat," "I love you," and "Kisses!" Harlee loves attention. He will dance on top of his cage and show off his "Pretty wings." He thinks it's fun to dunk all his favorite foods-blackberries, carrots, pecans, and almonds-in his water prior to eating. Harlee is positive for ABV (Avian Bornavirus) and requires regular vet visits and daily medication, which he happily takes on an animal cracker, thank you very much! He also plucks, so will need to be kept in a warm, draft-free environment with plenty of toys to discourage this behavior. While Harlee is quiet for a macaw, he needs to live in a home without shared walls. Adoption fee: $700
