Meet Finches

We have 2 beautiful finches: Torvald & Alma!

Here is what works best in their new home:
-Personality: Lively, Inquisitive, Chatty
-Lifespan: Typically 3-5 years
-Can live with kids: Yes, although they cannot be the primary caregiver. Bird care is too specialized for young kids.
-Experienced Bird home: Not required, but please do your research.
-Can live with other Birds: Yes, finches are highly social with one another and naturally flock birds.
-Bite History: None
-Additional information: These finches will need a nice roomy cage with different levels and perches as well as toys, mirrors and cuttlebone to keep their beak trimmed. Zebra finches are typically not the type of birds that enjoy handling, this will just stress them out. A zebra finch will thrive on a pellet-based diet, such as Lafeber’s Premium Daily Diet specifically designed for finches, supplemented with fresh greens and other species-appropriate vegetables, grubs, and a high-quality seed mix.
