Cricket (and Boo) are in their 30's at least. They have lived together their whole life, as far as we know. We are assessing their relationship. They do not appear to be a bonded pair, but they are certainly friends. We believe greys, if not all parrots, deserve to live with other friends. After all, it's not natural (and potentially scary) for a bird to live alone.<br/><br/>Their relinquisher was older with dementia, so it was time for their next home. They haven't had access to wholesome food choices and absolutely no enrichment. But no worries, birds are always learning and they are already eagerly enjoying their new options! We're sure they will flourish with new days and many more years ahead!<br/><br/>IMPORTANT PROCESS INFORMATION: Before we can discuss a specific bird with you, we ask that you follow our adoption and education process. Some birds are in foster homes that may adopt them, but there are many other birds waiting for our help who are not yet posted in PetFinders. The adoption coordinator in your area will work with you to find the best home for each bird, and a species and personality that works best for your family. We want to set everyone up for success, especially our parrots!<br/><br/>To get started, the adoption process includes completing our parrot match application and attending one of our core classes. We do not ship birds. However, everyone is welcome and encouraged to join us for our online events. Parrots are unique and they deserve us to be informed caretakers.
