Cocka-doodle-doo, is Carlton the rooster for you?! Carlton was surrendered to us after his owner could no longer care for him. While he did have a leg injury when he arrived- he has wonderfully recovered and is doing amazing! Carltons name is temporary- feel free to name him whatever you wish! But what is not tempoary and totally unique to him is his speckled feathers, his adoration for his hens and his calm demeanor with people. Carlton may look like another roo- but he has proven to be a survivor and is ready to take on the world in his new home! Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
