Bailey and Lula's Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.
Hatch Date - approx 2000

Bailey and Lula are a bonded pair of 25 y/o Senegals, suspected to be male (Bailey, orange markings) and female (Lula, grey face and yellow markings).

They would be the perfect birds for a couple or a household with both males and females. Lula loves hanging out with her foster mom, getting head scritches, and sitting in a nice steamy shower. Bailey prefers his foster mom's brother, and he also loves pets and spending time outside of his cage.

They are a super sweet and goofy pair of birds. Neither one of them flies much; they prefer to walk and climb around their cage and the house. They both love dried fruits as a treat and will eat pretty much anything, so be careful with your leftovers!

Bailey and Lula are both very loving towards their chosen person, but can be a bit nippy around anyone they deem competition. For this reason, they would be best suited for a house with more than one person, and without young children who may not understand their needs and social cues.

Senegals can also be very loud when they want your attention, so this pair may not work for apartment dwellers.

Bailey and Lula have been disease tested for PBFD and Chlamydia.

If you have the time to give these two the attention they deserve, they will make amazing companions

with their social and outgoing personalities.

Bailey and Lula are being fostered in Bloomfield, NJ.
They will only be adopted into a forever home within driving distance.
We will NOT ship our birds.

For the Love of Birds is a group of dedicated foster homes throughout NJ and Eastern PA.

We do not have a central location. Lula and Bailey are living in a volunteer's private home.

We only allow approved applicants to make visits.

If interested in adopting Bailey and Lula, please visit our website ftlob.rescuegroups.org

Please read our adoption policies & procedures, and complete an adoption application.
