Worthington's Story

**I have been waiting for a forever home since July of 2026**

*male chinchilla
*silver gray/champagne
*approximately 2 years old
-Worthington came in as an owner surrender from a horrible family/person. The email they sent to us said that he wasnt friendly, did not like them, and was *no longer worth the effort.*. Clearly they had never taken the time to earn his trust or establish a relationship with him. So we named him Worthington cause we know hes worth it and hes now ready for his real forever family. It took him about a week to settle in and to stop alarm barking. We plied him with treats and dust baths and never forced him to interact when he was not comfortable. He now lets you pet him when you go slow and enjoys taking treats from you! He really is a sweet boy and just needs someone to let him be a chinchilla! Like most chinchillas he doesnt enjoy being picked up but he does tolerate it when he needs to be (but obviously can be stressful for them so we dont force it a lot). Hes a very good boy. Chinchillas can live 20 years with proper care! We do not recommend chinchillas for children as they do not make good pets for children under 12. They require a specialized habitat with multiple levels, specific food, and regular grooming care. Interested adopters can fill out our adoption application here: https://www.judgespark.org/adoption-application.html. Adoption fee is $50 for a single chin, $100 for a pair.
