The Love Litter (4 Ms/5 Fs)'s Story
Meet the Love Litter Littles!

These babies came to us after a family experienced unexpected circumstances. They had originally purchased pet rats from a pet store, only to later discover one was female and pregnant. The family has cared deeply for them — the babies have been handled frequently and are very people-social. Due to significant medical challenges in the household, they made the difficult decision to reach out for help so these little ones could find safe, loving homes (not as feeders).

This litter includes nine babies (4 girls and 5 boys) in a beautiful mix of black and agouti berkshires/hoodeds, along with PEWs and possible Siamese/Himalayan markings. While they initially came in a bit shy, they have truly blossomed in foster care and have grown into confident, curious, and happy babies.

These babies have been combined with Mama Smokey’s litter and the Lucky Litter for adoption placement. Adopters may choose within or across litters once introductions are complete, and we may also help guide pairings based on bonding and temperament. As always, we prioritize keeping siblings and bonded groups together whenever possible.

Same-sex pair or group adoptions are preferred, and we especially encourage groups of three or more. Discounted adoption fees apply for larger groups:
$30 single
$35 bonded pair
$40 flat fee for trios or larger groups

This case is being fostered with Julia in Ball Ground, GA
To apply, please visit the Adoption tab on our website:
www.garatrescue.weebly.com

Update (3/27/26):
It looks like some of these babies are developing into gorgeous Silvermanes, as they’ve begun molting into silvery coats. Temperament-wise, they have fully opened up and are incredibly sweet, social, and easygoing — they would do well in just about any home, especially the boys.

We are currently prioritizing placement of the remaining four boys (1 from the Love Litter + 3 from Smokey's Litter) as a group, as they are well-bonded and thriving together. There are 2 remaining girls from this litter avialbel for placement as a pair or with the SMokey or Lucky litter girls.
