Sourdough's Story

Meet Sourdough! This adorable 2-month-old white rat is ready to find a loving home where she can grow, explore, and enjoy plenty of companionship. Sourdough is still very young, with lots of curiosity and fun ahead of her! Sourdough must go home with one of her sisters-Challah, Rye, or Pumpernickel. Rats are social animals who thrive with the companionship of their own kind, and having a sister by her side will help Sourdough feel happy, comfortable, and secure in her new home. If you're looking to welcome a pair of adorable little rats into your family, Sourdough and one of her sisters may be the perfect match! Come meet this sweet girl and her sisters and find the perfect pair for your home.

The purpose of our adoption criteria is to ensure a consistent, fair process and to provide every potential adopter with an equal opportunity to welcome a new pet into their home. All animals are adopted to individuals who agree to follow the guidelines outlined in the adoption contract. Adopters must be at least 18 years of age and are required to complete an adoption questionnaire, as well as provide valid identification and proof of current residence. Pets are placed in homes where they will be cared for primarily as indoor companions, and adopters must commit to providing lifelong care, including proper food, water, shelter, and regular exercise. Animals may be adopted as gifts in accordance with our gift adoption policy. Additionally, to ensure the safety and well-being of our animals, we do not proceed with adoptions to individuals who appear to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
