Snap, Crackle, Pop & Rice Krispy's Story
Fostered in Brooklyn, NY.

UPDATE 4/29/26:

These four boys are very bonded and need to be adopted together.

Snap, Crackle, Pop, and Rice Krispy are four sweet and curious rats. They are healthy and energetic (except lazy Dad Pop), and love spending time grooming each other, wrestling, and cuddling in a pile in their hammock. The three baby boys will come to the edge of the cage for pets and to play with my hands and fingers, and none have nipped. They babies also enjoy exploring during free roam

Snap is a hooded rat with a straight brown line on his back. He is the most reserved of the babies and is very attached to Pop, his Dad. When his brothers Crackle and Rice Krispy start asking for pets and treats, he will also get excited. Snap will run away if he is the first to be taken out of the cage, but after his brothers are free roaming he is curious and will come back to be picked up.

Crackle is a hooded rat with spots on his back. He is the most adventurous and friendliest of the babies and has started climbing on my hand so he can be picked up and cuddled. He loves wrestling with Snap and Rice Krispy, and snuggling with his brothers and Dad Pop. Crackle makes very dramatic noises during wrestling time, and loves to groom his brothers and human hands.

Pop is Snap, Crackle, and Rice Krispy’s Dad and is affectionate and protective towards his boys. He confuses fingers for treats and will nip, so be careful when putting your fingers near his face. It is also important to take him out of the cage when you clean it, as he may be defensive of his space and bite at an intrusive hand. He is working on this and tolerates pets behind his ears and on his back, enjoys free time on the couch, and is always there for a snuggle with his sons. Pop’s favorite spot is lounging alone or with his sons in the hammock.

Rice Krispy is a VERY special hairless boy who is extremely social and sweet. He loves licking fingers and burrowing into shirts during cuddles, probably because he’s colder without any fur! Krispy enjoys wrestling with his brothers, snuggling with Pop, and exploring during free time. Rice Krispy will initiate wrestling with his brothers, and will dramatically squeak when pinned. He also enjoys a coconut oil massage to keep his skin nice and moisturized.
