Petunia and Tulip's Story

Petunia & Tulip — Two Sweet Hearts Looking for Their Forever Home!

These adorable girls have been through very different beginnings, but their story has brought them to the same place: together, safe, loved, and ready for their forever home.

Petunia was rescued from the streets of Los Angeles, while Tulip was born to a mama who had back-to-back pregnancies. Once they arrived in foster care, these sweet girls truly blossomed. They are gentle, affectionate, happy little companions—and they’ve formed a special bond with each other along the way. As of September 2026 Petunia is a little over 2 years old and Tulip is a year and a half.

Petunia and Tulip are the kind of girls who make it easy to fall in love. They love being held, enjoy spending time with their people, and are happiest when they’re surrounded by love and attention. Their gentle personalities and easygoing nature make them wonderful companions.

If you have room in your heart and home for two sweet little souls, please consider applying to adopt Petunia and Tulip. Southern California Guinea Pig Rescue's Adoption Policy
Adopters must fill out an application (available online) and submit a photo or receipt of their cage so we can verify our minimum space requirements are met. After approval, arrangements are made for the adopter to meet the guinea pigs with an experienced volunteer to facilitate the introductions and answer any questions. If trying to pair a single guinea pig with a current pig, the application process is the same but the meeting process is a bit lengthier. The adopter can meet with several single guinea pigs to see which one may be a harmonious match. Initial introductions can last a couple hours and the adopter will go home and reintroduce the guinea pigs and monitor for signs of aggression. If the bond fails, the adopter must separate the guinea pigs and we will make arrangements to take the guinea pig back. Then we repeat until we find a good match.
