Penny, Perdita & Jewel's Story

Fostered by Stacey in Sandy Hook, CT.

UPDATE 4/27/26:

Penny, Perdita and Jewel are three adorable little girls! Jewel, the brown mouse, is the bravest of the bunch and loves to run on the wheel. She’s the last to run and hide and the first to come out and see what’s going on.

Penny has a black patch of hair over her left eye, while Perdita has an all-white face. Penny and Perdita were extremely skittish when they first arrived, but they’ve settled in well and no longer run to hide when I walk into the room. Perdita was a bit of a bully at first, especially with Penny, but as she’s calmed down she’s mostly stopped that behavior and all three girls are hanging out together nicely.

All three girls are very active, building an extensive tunnel network, taking turns on or sharing the wheel, and staying busy! They all use the water bottle and have good appetites. None of them are ready to be handled or take food from a hand, but their foster will continue to work on that!
