They are very friendly and outgoing and enjoy romping around and playing. They like the hidey houses where they can jump on the top of them - we have a couple in their cage and they hop from rooftop to rooftop like they're doing parkour. It is really funny and entertaining to watch. They popcorn a lot too, they're just happy guinea pigs who are looking for a loving home. They were surrendered to DPR along with the dad (Pan) when their owner could no longer care for them. They are a bonded pair, so we are looking for a home where they can be adopted together. They are Abyssinian guinea pigs, which means they have cowlicks of hair, called rosettes, going in every direction. They are adorable and have awesome personalities!<br/>Guinea pigs have wonderful personalities- they are gentle and we have yet to come across any who bite, and they keep a daytime schedule! They form close bonds with their people, similar to cats and dogs. Did you know they are able to recognize people based on scent, sound and sight?! If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as 'available for adoption', that means the animal is still in DPR's care. *Please note - we do not do on-site meet and greets. Potential adopters can speak to the guinea pig's foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the guinea pig. You can pick your guinea pig up 'curb side'. Guinea pigs can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *<br/><br/>DPR guinea pigs receive a vet check up prior to adoption!<br/>We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
