Dilly and Butter are sisters, born to Picklepop , a Satin Abysinnian. They are healthy at the current time although mom and Dilly are showing to be Satins<br/>We have decided to offfer the Trio as a special needs trio as they all have the same needs for high calcium diet and vt checks 2x a year to look for any Satin Syndrome related issues. The way you can tell if they are a Satin is to look for the irridescent shine of the coat , especially in the face area<br/>UPDATE: PIckle and Dilly were vetted and xrayed Feb 2025 and are not showing any symptoms of Satin Syndrome. Butter is not a Satin and is normal

Second Chance Cavy Rescue's Adoption Policy

First Adoption application and personal contact with us so we can find out more about you, your household, experience and needs Next, confirm proper habitat- C&C cages recommended. 2x4 grid for a pair or 10 sq foot one level habitat off the floor. If you have one, need pic of it ,if not, we can provide cages or resources to order one Finally, meet at Adoption event to choose a pair of piggies. Pay $55 adoption fee and fill out paperwork.

Our mission is to two fold: First to educate people on the proper care , nutrition, housing etc of guinea pigs and other small pets as to enhance the lives of the owner and their pets Second, is to rehabilitate neglected and unwanted guinea pigs so they can find new homes
