Mochi's Story

Mochi is a very cute black masked male, about 6-8 months old.

About Mochi
Mochi is a sweet, social boy who enjoys people and has been well handled. He likes to explore, crawl all over his humans, and enthusiastically accepts treats — this guy loves food. He’s friendly, curious, and enjoys interaction, though he prefers being held when snacks are involved. He previously lived with other male rats and did well with his cagemates, enjoying playtime and snuggling. Because of this, Mochi would do best in a home with other compatible male rats or with a buddy he can be properly introduced to.

Health & Behavior Notes
Mochi arrived with mild respiratory symptoms, which he has been responding well to with treatment. Due to his recent history with cagemates, we will be attempting introductions with another boy Aziraphale. If successful, he may be adopted as part of a pair. Otherwise, we recommend placement with suitable male companions.

He would be a good fit for a confident beginner or experienced rat owner, including families with children who understand gentle handling.

Availability
Mochi will be available for adoption after March 1st, pending a clear bill of health.

Adoption Information
To apply, please visit the Adoption tab on our website and complete the required steps: www.garatrescue.weebly.com

Adoption Fees
• $20 for a single rat
• $35 for a bonded pair
• $40 flat fee for trios or larger groups

We’d love to hear from you.
Adopt, don’t shop.
