When they arrived, they were supposedly 1 year old and the man had them for 3 months (purchased from a pet store). These girls were TINY, and were very thin and dirty on arrival. I suspect they are closer to/under 6 months old and just hadn't been taken care of properly. After they arrived, we realized their immune system was very weak. They developed skin issues, and then unfortunately their sister Beyonce got very ill and passed away. Michelle and Kelly have both recovered and are now thriving and gaining weight daily! They are all healthy and cleared for adoption and are very friendly and out going girls! Like all guinea pigs, they run initially when you go to catch them but settle in quickly when you hold them.
