Hi, our names are Lola and Petunia! Here is what would work best for us in our new home:<br/><br/>-Personality: Active, vocal, curious<br/>-Can Live With Kids: Yes, but an adult must be the primary caregiver<br/>-Can Live With Other Guinea Pigs: Yes, Lola and Petunia will need to be adopted as a pair. Introductions with any resident guinea pigs (females, only!) will need to be slow and structured to ensure everyone gets along. <br/>-Litter Box Trained: No<br/>-Bite History: No<br/>-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: No<br/>-Additional Information:<br/>Lola and Petunia are a bonded pair of guinea pigs looking for their forever home! They were found outside in a plastic bin with 5 other guinea pigs. Lola and Petunia were both pregnant, so they've had their last litter of baby piggies and are now ready to be spoiled in their forever home. They were well socialized with teens and adults in their foster home.<br/><br/>They will need a nice roomy enclosure with plenty of hidey spots. They will also need daily exercise and socialization (i.e., some fun time outside of their cage). Their diet should consist of high quality guinea pig pellets, unlimited grass hay, and fresh greens daily. They can also have the occasional treat (i.e., small pieces of guinea pig safe veggies and fruits).<br/><br/>Proof of appropriate enclosure is required for adoption.<br/><br/>If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website (www.whatcomhumane.org/adopt) or in person at our facility. We recommend calling into the shelter after your application has been submitted so our front desk can give you next steps on our adoption process.
