Lemmy & Mr. Cheese's Story
Lemmy and Mr. Cheese are a bonded pair of adult male rats looking for a calm, understanding home where they can continue thriving together. These black Berkshire boys (top ears) are estimated to be just over a year old and have been together most of their lives, so they must be adopted as a pair.

Their Story:
Originally purchased from a pet store, Lemmy and Mr. Cheese were surrendered due to handling and mouthiness challenges in a home with a young child. After an incident, the child was no longer comfortable interacting with them, and the family felt it was best to find them a more suitable home.

Since coming into foster care, they have been healthy, settled, and making great progress. There have been no further nipping incidents, and their mouthiness continues to improve with gentle, consistent handling and boundries enforced. Lemmy and Mr. Cheese are friendly, curious, and confident with lots of playful energy. They are not aggressive or timid and enjoy exploring and interacting on their own terms. Mr. Cheese, the larger of the two, can still be enthusiastic around food, which adopters should be mindful of, but this behavior is not aggression.

Adoption Information:
Lemmy and Mr. Cheese must be adopted together. They would do best with an experienced rat owner or a confident beginner, and a home without young children is recommended.
