Jumping Bean ( JB )'s Story

Name: Jumping Bean

Age: 1 year

Sex: male

Date of arrival: 1/24/26

Adoption fee $100

Here's a blurb about him from his foster:

Jumping Bean (aka J.B. Stubbs, aka Beans) sure lives up to his name. Hes a young guy, less than a year old, and loves to bounce and jump and leap, although hes a bit of a daredevil who doesnt always think about where hes going to land before he does.

Hes got lots of energy, but can easily be cajoled into stillness when an under-chin or behind-the-ear scratch is offered. Hell even groom you back if you do a good job! Hes got an adorably short tail, and while we dont know how that happened (before he got to the rescue), it doesnt hold him back in the slightest: tail holds dont bother him and his balance is spot on. Hes just a friendly and sweet little guy who loves apple sticks, dried hibiscus, and exploring every nook and cranny available. He does not like the sound of the velociraptors when Jurassic Park is on TV, but other than that, one of the most happy-go-lucky chins around. "

Bio: With the familys permission, JB was brought to the rescue after his owner suffered from severe medical issues, and was placed in hospice care.
As you can see, JB is missing about half of his tail. The family does not know whether he was sold that way or if the injury occurred while in their siblings care. Sometimes mothers accidentally remove part of a tail during birth if a kit is breech or becomes stuck. In other cases, the tail can be broken or degloved if grabbed improperly and JB did free roam the space but In either case, the injury is fully healed and has left him with a little stubby tail. He's not phased by it.

We're hoping to give JB a second chance since his first chapter in life was abruptly changed.

To adopt, you must apply with Cali_FID Rescue.

We are based in Modesto, California. And we do not ship animals.

Please visit our website and fill out the adoption application if you wish to be considered.

https://www.califidparrotandexotic.com/forms/adoption-application.html
(check your SPAM folder, we respond to every inquiry/email)

These animals live in FOSTER HOMES. The rescue group does not have a facility for visitors.

If you have any additional questions about Cali_FIDs Chinchillas please contact our adoption coordinator; califidchins@gmail.com.

Thank you for choosing adoption!
