Jester's Story

Name: Jester
DOB: 4.1.2026
Sex: Male
Type: long haired mix
Color: Silver Agouti
Handle-ability: Skittish at pick up then settles
History: This little guy used to have a brother who he lived with but his brother did not make it. The owners asked us to take the remaining boy.
Arrival Date: 7.2.2026

Note: Jester is a baby guinea pig who has a lot of growing to do. When they are this age they can be a little more nibbly. Children should make sure they wash their hands before handling so they do not smell like food, and keep their hands to the top of the guinea pig's back. Guinea pigs have poor eyesight and rely on their noses to determine if something is food and baby animals are still learning about their environment- they may think a finger is food. If a baby guinea pig does nip do not reward it by giving it food or by putting it back in the cage right away. Instead adjust how it is being held so that it can not nibble fingers again and continue holding for a few minutes- if the guinea pig has calmed down, reward it by returning it to the cage. As your baby guinea pig adjusts to your home and family the nibbling should stop.

To inquire about adoption you may:
Text us at: (513) 427-3487
Email us at: chatterandsqueaks@gmail.com
Fill out an intent to adopt form at: www.chatterandsqueaks.com/adoption
