Giggles & Black Beauty's Story
Fostered in Hollis Center, ME.

UPDATE 9/25/26:

These girls are just such sweethearts! They just adore attention. During playtime, they really like being with me after a little bit of exploring. They are very gentle and affectionate. Always at the front of the cage when I approach. These girls don’t seem to be skittish or nervous about anything.

While BB is still a bit silly about hands in the cage (she just thinks everything is food), she is actually looks surprised when she realizes I am not food. So, the transport container is great, easy and convenient and safe. They self load so happily.

New toys are met with sheer joy. They carry things all over the cage and find extremely interesting places to leave them! Strips of paper towel or newspaper are SO much fun. They delight in dragging them all over and usually putting them in their house or pod.

They really deserve their forever home, they are such wonderful girls.

UPDATE 8/20/26:

If you like a combination of sweet and a little spicy, these girls are perfect for you! Their foster says they are a lot of fun, and they always come to the cage door when she comes close.

Giggles is a “dream rat,” gentle and sweet, and easy to handle. She’s as friendly as she is cute!

Black Beauty (BB) is also sweet and friendly, but a bit more spicy. She sometimes thinks fingers are for tasting, so you need to be careful when offering treats. She does not mean any harm, and she will move off if you make a loud “eep’ noise.

It may be best that they go to a home where the humans have some rat experience where there are not young kids who don’t understand to keep fingers out of the cage.

They are great at using a transport container to take them out of the cage for play time. They just climb in and off we go!

The two of them LOVE to rearrange their cage. They have toy boxes and delight in emptying them and bringing the toys all over the cage. It is so adorable to watch them work.
